Brief Introduction to the School

     Shenzhen Futian High School is a full-time public senior high school with a history of more than forty years which has been successfully assessed as a key school of Futian District , first-grade school of Guangdong Province, ,the first batch of National Model Senior High School of Guangdong Province, the first batch of Excellent Senior high Schools with High Standard of Teaching ,the first batch of Moral Education Model Senior High School of Guangdong Province. Located at the intersection of Shenzhen Central Park and the picturesque Shennan Boulevard with an area of more than 40000 square meters, of which more than 39000 square- meter floor area is for teaching, the school now has 221 teaching and administrative staff, of whom 203 are full-time teachers .The high school has attracted 115 teachers with senior professional titles (secondary school) and 30 teachers with master’s degree. The senior high school has a team of 4 Special-grade teachers and national model teachers, 4 provincial model teachers and educational experts, 39 municipal academic leaders and young and middle-aged backbone teachers, 5 “Outstanding Gardener”s of Futian District. It has enrolled 2600 full-time in-campus students studying in 54 teaching administrative classes, boasting itself as one of the largest scale senior schools within the Special Economic Zone.

     Since its foundation, the School has set the goal of running the school of “Education is for the liberty and well-being of life”, has been insisting on the road of “Cultivating qualified citizens for the civilized society of China”, and has set the school philosophy of “To the reality, For the truth” “All for the students, and students’ independent development utmost”. Every year, the upper-level administrative departments send some foreign teachers to teach in the school. Now, Mr. Nicholas Stefan Beaver from U.S teaches senior grade one Oral English and Ms. Christian Estefania Vivanco Ramirez from Italy teaches the Italian for the students of the Italian Arts Class. Meanwhile, students from US, Germany and South Korea come to the school to study academic courses in Chinese annually as exchange students.
